HAAN Korean BBQ

Our Story

Fire has been at the
center of it all.

HAAN was built around one conviction: that great Korean BBQ deserves great ingredients.

Why HAAN?

The word haan(한) carries a layered meaning in Korean culture — a deep, bittersweet feeling of longing, loss, and resilience. It’s the emotion behind the food. Korean BBQ was never meant to be fast. It was meant to be felt.

We opened in Fountain Hills because we believed the East Valley deserved a Korean BBQ experience built around quality — not just an all-you-can-eat formula. When you sit down at a HAAN table, you’re getting A5 Wagyu and USDA Prime cuts, not the standard USDA Choice you’ll find almost everywhere else.

“Attentive service and consistent quality is our mission. Not a tagline — a standard we hold every single night.”

The Meat

Our A5 Wagyu is Japanese certified — graded by the Japan Meat Grading Association, not just labeled “Wagyu.” The marbling score, the breed, the source: we know all of it, and we’ll tell you everything if you ask.

Our USDA Prime beef represents the top 2% of all graded beef in the country. Our LA Galbi is marinated for 12 hours in a house soy-pear blend. Our thick-cut pork belly is hand-sliced every morning. None of it is an accident.

The Room

Every table at HAAN has its own charcoal grill set directly into the surface. Our staff manages the fire — they’ll light it, tend it, and grill each cut for you at the right moment. You don’t have to do anything except enjoy the company across from you.

The banchan arrive before your meat — six house-made sides that get refilled for free. The barley tea is always on. The rest is yours.

Come As You Are

Whether you’ve eaten Korean BBQ a hundred times or never held a pair of tongs over live charcoal — you belong here. Our team will take care of you either way.

Open every night from 4 pm. Reservations recommended on weekends.
